Twilight 3 Eclipse

Here is the synopsis of Eclipse: “As Seattle is ravaged by a string of mysterious killings and a malicious vampire continues her quest for revenge, Bella once again finds herself surrounded by danger. In the midst of it all, she is forced to choose between her love for Edward and her friendship with Jacob — knowing that her decision has the potential to ignite the ageless struggle between vampire and werewolf. With her graduation quickly approaching, Bella has one more decision to make: life or death.”

We can bet that the movie will be titled The Twilight Saga Eclipse, following the decision made for New Moon’s title.

New Moon’s director Chris Weitz won’t be helming Twilight 3 because of conflicting schedules: he will be in post-production on New Moon at the same time that Eclipse will start shooting.

But of course Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner will be back for this Eclipse movie, respectively as Edward the Vampire, Bella the undecided young lady, and Jacob the newly assumed Werewolf.

Life Is Hot In Cracktown

"Life Is Hot In Cracktown" - The movie "Life Is Hot In Cracktown" - featuring an all star cast - shows the gritty, hard realities of a neighborhood, as well as the struggling, proud people who try to survive them everyday.

Marybeth (Kerry Washington) is a pre-op transsexual working as a prostitute and living with her lover, Benny, a small time burglar. In spite of their lines of work, they live a somewhat normal life as a married couple. Marybeth works the streets in the hopes of saving enough money for her final sex change operation, so then she and Benny can be married.

Manny (Victor Rasuk) works two jobs: the late shift in an all night bodega surrounded by young junkies, drug dealers and prostitutes, and as a security guard in a Welfare hotel. At home his wife, Concetta (Shannyn Sossamon), takes care of his sick infant son and makes their grimy rundown apartment as much of a home as she can.

Willy, ten years old, lives in the Welfare hotel with his sister, mother (Illeana Douglas) and her violent boyfriend. Willy begs on the street so he and Susie can buy some fast food to eat. Romeo (Evan Ross), a street tough, roams the streets with his gang. Upset over the murder of his younger brother, and feeling partially responsible for not being there during the shooting, he terrorizes anyone who comes in his path.

These four stories come together in a powerful climax of love and salvation, showing that despite the obstacles of life in the inner-city, humanity and hope can still prevail. Based on Buddy Giovinazzo’s best-selling novel, "Life Is Hot In Cracktown" the vignettes show how crack cocaine has infiltrated the streets of urban America.

Public Enemies

"Public Enemies" - In the action-thriller "Public Enemies," acclaimed filmmaker Michael Mann directs Johnny Depp, Christian Bale and Academy Award winner Marion Cotillard ("La Vie En Rose") in the story of legendary Depression-era outlaw John Dillinger (Johnny Depp) -- the charismatic bank robber whose lightning raids made him the number one target of J. Edgar Hoover's fledgling FBI and its top agent, Melvin Purvis (Christian Bale), and a folk hero to much of the downtrodden public.

No one could stop John Dillinger and his gang. No jail could hold him. His charm and audacious jailbreaks endeared him to almost everyone -- from his girlfriend Billie Frechette (Marion Cotillard) to an American public who had no sympathy for the banks that had plunged the country into the Depression.

But while the adventures of Dillinger's gang -- later including the sociopathic Baby Face Nelson (Stephen Graham) and Alvin Karpis (Giovanni Ribisi) -- thrilled many, Hoover (Billy Crudup) hit on the idea of exploiting the outlaw's capture as a way to elevate his Bureau of Investigation into the national police force that became the FBI. He made Dillinger America's first Public Enemy Number One and sent in Purvis, the dashing "Clark Gable of the FBI.''

However, John Dillinger and his gang outwitted and outgunned Purvis' men in wild chases and shootouts. Only after importing a crew of Western ex-lawmen (newly baptized as agents) and orchestrating epic betrayals -- from the infamous "Lady in Red'' to the Chicago crime boss Frank Nitti -- were Purvis, the FBI and their new crew of gunfighters able to close in on John Dillinger.

Wild About Movies was the first media outlet to report that Rory Cochrane is also starring in "Public Enemies." (See Rory Cochrane interview).

Ice Age 3

"Ice Age 3" - In "Ice Age 3" the adventures of Manny, Sid and Diego continue, where the story of "Ice Age 2" left off.

The "Ice Age" movies are now as famous as the James Bond films for their opening sequences.

The opening of "Ice Age 3" - which you can see in the "Ice Age 3" trailer, below - details the following:

The movie "Ice Age 3" begins amidst a blizzard. Scrat is trying to get through it, when he notices his acorn. During his struggles to reach it, he is engulfed in snow and frozen. He manages to pop open his eyes, using them to lean himself toward the acorn. He successfully pulls it out, releasing warm gasses from beneath the ice, which thaws Scrat. Feeling around with his foot, he discovers he has made a large hole in the ice, and falls through. After hitting a few trees, he slides down to the tip of a something - a deformed tree trunk? - losing his acorn. Just as he finishes his slide, Scrat comes face to face with a Tyrannosaurus rex. The T-Rex roars at Scrat and we next see Scrat inside the dinosaur's mouth twitching his eyes.

Food Inc.

"Food Inc." - How much do we really know about the food we buy at our local supermarkets and serve to our families? In the full length documentary movie "Food, Inc.," filmmaker
Robert Kenner lifts the veil on our nation's food industry, exposing the highly mechanized underbelly that's been hidden from the American consumer with the consent of our government's regulatory agencies, USDA and FDA. Our nation's food supply is now controlled by a handful of corporations that often put profit ahead of consumer health, the livelihood of the American farmer, the safety of workers and our own environment. We have bigger-breasted chickens, the perfect pork chop, insecticide-resistant soybean seeds, even tomatoes that won't go bad, but we also have new strains of e coli--the harmful bacteria that causes illness for an estimated 73,000 Americans annually. We are riddled with widespread obesity, particularly among children, and an epidemic level of diabetes among adults. Featuring interviews with such experts as Eric Schlosser (Fast Food Nation), Michael Pollan (The Omnivore's Dilemma) along with forward thinking social entrepreneurs like Stonyfield Farm's Gary Hirshberg and Polyface Farms' Joel Salatin, the movie "Food, Inc." reveals surprising -- and often shocking truths -- about what we eat, how it's produced, who we have become as a nation and where we are going from here.

Tetro

"Tetro" - The movie "Tetro" is "The Godfather" director, Oscar winner Francis Ford Coppola's first original screenplay since his Academy Award winning "The Conversation."

The movie "Tetro" is his most personal film yet, arising from memories and emotions from his early life, though totally fictional. It is the bittersweet story of two brothers, of family lost and found and the conflicts and secrets within a highly creative Argentine-Italian family.

One great thing about the movie "Tetro" - Oscar nominee Klaus Maria Brandauer (Best Supporting Actor, "Out Of Africa") stars.

One not-so-great thing: "Tetro," although completed, and filmed entirely on Francis Ford Coppola's dime, has yet to find a distributor. Imagine, the director of arguably the two best movies in motion picture history, "The Godfather" and "The Godfather: Part 2," is having trouble with finding a movie studio to release his latest film.
